Exterior Door Handle Switch Instructions
When the exterior door handle is pulled, a low frequency antenna sends out a challenge to the key fob. If the challenge is met, the key fob will respond, allowing the doors to be unlocked and the authenticated door to be unlatched. This test commands the door lock function of the Keyless Entry Control Module to act as if it received an input from the exterior door handle switch indicating that it was pulled. When this test is successful, the content theft deterrent system will disarm and all doors will unlock. This test does not command the door latch function of the module, so the authenticated door will not unlatch as it normally does when the handle is physically pulled.
Continue the procedure after reading and fully understanding the instructions.
