Warning: High temperatures produced during particulate filter service regeneration may cause brake fluid to boil and form a small amount of gas in the right front brake pipe. This may degrade brake performance and cause DTCs to set. To remove any potential gas, the hydraulic brake system bleed procedure must be performed for the right front brake line, even if no DTCs are present.
Note: This procedure can be interrupted at any time in an emergency by switching off the ignition or pressing the accelerator pedal.
Caution: Tailpipe outlet exhaust temperature will be greater than 300°C (572°F) during service regeneration.
Caution: Keep the hood closed and the vehicle in an open environment away from walls or buildings during this procedure. This is imperative to keep proper air flow across the radiator.
